Temper Temper

Tony Vezich formed the Temper Temper Dance Company in 1998. He is the company’s choreographer and artistic leader.

Awards

2010 - Gríman Nomination for Cardiac Strain in the category, best choreography
The Department for Culture of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia nominated Tony Vezich as the recipient of their sponsorship award for 1999, The NRW Preis für Tanz. The award took the form of a commission for a new choreography Ich bin meine Welt  (I am my world) for the opening of the Meeting Neuer Tanz Festival 1999.


Teaching

​Since the year 2000, Tony had been a regular guest teacher of choreography, and of his self devised contemporary dance technique (Release the Beast) and has taught throughout Europe, Scandinavia and New Zealand.

He accepted a fulltime position in ArteZ as lecturer of contemporary dance and choreography in 2006-07.
Tony then went on to hold the position of head lecturer of contemporary dance and choreography in the Listaháskóli Íslands, from 2007 – 2011. He is currently enjoying an Artistic leave of absence to follow his freelance ambitions.

Dance Education

1987-1990 The New Zealand School of Dance, Wellington. 3 years full time professional training in Classical and Modern dance: Highly commended on graduation with the Deidre Tarrant Award for excellence in modern dance and the New Zealand School of Dance Award for the most promising student.​
